Sharon Toth

Sharon Toth was a standout first baseman for the Golden Bear softball team from 1987-90. A two-time All-American, Toth holds the PSAC record for career batting average (.449), and the school record for season batting average (.495 in ‘87) and season slugging percentage (.760 in ‘89). Toth was a four-time All-PSAC first team selection, and a three-time Regional All-American. She was named KU’s Female Athlete of the Year as a sophomore and the LVAIAW Outstanding Softball Athlete as a senior. The Golden Bears posted winning marks each year during Toth’s tenure and made two appearances in the PSAC Championships. Toth is currently employed as a teacher/teacher aide at Kidspeace/Washington School in Bethlehem, PA. In addition, she recently completed her third year as assistant softball coach at KU. She is engaged to be married this year to Wayne Kistler.
