Lawson excelled in both track and cross country at Kutztown. As a junior, she captured the Pennsylvania Conference crown in the 10,000-meter run and followed by winning the PC 5,000-meter title in the spring. Lawson, who was an All-Pennsylvania Conference selection in cross country three times, earned All-American honors as a junior and a senior in the 10,000 meters and was an Academic All-American both years. She was a three-time ECAC champion in the 5,000-meter run. Lawson received her M.D. from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University last year.
