Blue became the starting fullback as a freshman. He went on to set the career rushing record for the Golden Bears and receive all-conference honor all four years. As a senior, he led the team in rushing and scoring, although he played in only four of the seven games because of injury. Blue has been an art teacher for 30 years. He also coached football at Norristown high for 14 years. Blue and his wife, Shirley, a 1955 Kutztown graduate, live in Collegeville. They have four sons. In addition to their teaching careers, they run an art business; Blue’s prints are on display in the White House, and the William Penn museum in Harrisburg.
