Gino Calcagni

Calcagni, who died last November, was a member of the committee which set up the Hall of Fame in 1977. He joined the Golden Bear staff in 1960. He was an offensive line coach for 18 seasons, then took over as offensive coordinator. Calcagni was an All-State tackle in 1954 at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He lettered at tackle for four seasons at Gettysburg College, receiving All-State mentions as a senior. He received his master’s in physical education from East Stroudsburg in 1965 and did postgraduate work at Penn State, Temple and Lehigh. An associate professor at Kutztown for 17 years, he was chairman of the health and physical education department.
