Eric Clemmer

Clemmer was a four-year starter and five-time All-PSAC selection as a hitter and pitcher for the KU baseball team. He was named at both positions in 1996 and 1997, while earning second team honors as a first baseman in 1999.
 
A career .320 hitter, Clemmer had 163 hits and 99 RBI as a four-year starter. He graduated with records in career walks and sacrifice flies, and currently ranks fourth in KU history in walks, seventh in doubles, eighth in stolen bases and remains the all-time leader in sacrifice flies. He started in 168 of his 169 games as a position player. In his senior year, Clemmer was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th inning to give KU a 6-5 win over Slippery Rock and its first PSAC Championship in 33 years.
 
On the mound, he held a career 3.11 ERA and a 16-14 record. He graduated with a school-record 218 innings pitched, a category he currently ranks sixth in, and tabbed 211 career strikeouts. He currently ranks second in school history in shutouts and sixth in complete games.
 
During Clemmer's time, KU posted a 123-70 record and won two PSAC East titles. He is currently the director of creative operations at Under Armour. Clemmer and his wife, Lisa, have three children – two sons and a daughter.
