BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Due to inclement weather, the 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Individual Tennis Championships, scheduled for today, Friday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 2, have been postponed until next weekend.

The Championships, hosted by Bloomsburg University, are now scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 9.

Student-athletes from both the Kutztown University women's and men's programs are set to compete at the event. Senior
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and freshman
Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) are representing the women's program, while juniors
Joan Oliver Perez (Andratx, Spain/IES Baltasar Porcel),
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain/Claret (Post)),
Nikolay Kodinov (Plovdiv, Bulgaria/Model High School of Mathematics) and
Gabriel Nogara Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Dom Bosco) are representing the men's team.

As a result of this postponement, the Kutztown women's tennis team's matches at California (Pa.) and Slippery Rock, scheduled for next weekend, have also been postponed until further notice.

The KU men's tennis team next takes the court on Wednesday, Oct. 5, hosting Saint Thomas Aquinas at the Keystone Courts at 2 p.m.
