WORK WITH SPORTS INFORMATION
There are a number of opportunities for Kutztown University students to assist the sports information team throughout the academic year. The team is responsible for keeping official statistics at home contests, as well as other duties, including public address (PA) announcing, clock/scoreboard management, video streaming, broadcasting, graphic design, social media and photography. If you are a current KU student and have an interest in working in sports information, please apply through Handshake.
MEDIA GUIDELINES
All interview and photo requests must be coordinated through the Office of Sports Information. Access to practice must be set up in advance and postgame interviews with players and coaches will be granted after a mandatory 10-minute cool-down period.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Active working media should request gameday credentials from the Office of Sports Information 24-48 hours in advance of the event they wish to cover. Please note that other than Andre Reed Stadium (football, field hockey, track & field) and Keystone Arena (basketball, volleyball, wrestling), workspace for media is extremely limited at KU athletic facilities.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Photography at Kutztown University sporting events is limited to credentialed members of the media and official photographers of Kutztown University or an opponent. Photographers must comply with all NCAA requirements for photography based on the sport. Any photographer not adhering to these standards will forfeit his/her right. All requests for a sideline photo pass must be made to the Office of Sports Information at least 48 hours in advance, when possible. There is no restriction on photographs outside of the fenced area at each facility. The team bench areas are off-limits at all Kutztown University athletic facilities with exception granted to the official photographers of Kutztown University athletics. Other restrictions and limitations may apply during postseason play.
INTERVIEWS
Interview requests for Kutztown University coaches and student-athletes will be scheduled though the athletic communications office. Phone and/or in-person interview arrangements will be scheduled for an agreed upon time by media and coach/student-athlete. Coaches and student-athletes will also be made available for interviews following games.
