KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Senior Rich Lichtenwalner (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) won two matches on Senior Day on Wednesday to lead the Kutztown University men's tennis team to a 5-4 win over Bloomfield College at the Keystone Courts.
 
The Golden Bears (1-11) moved into the win column with their non-conference win.
 
Lichtenwalner opened the day with an 8-3 doubles win at the second flight with teammate Filip Lagerqvist (Sundsvall, Sweden/Skvaderns Gymnasieskola). The duo has won four straight matches together. In singles action, Lichtenwalner thrived in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
 
Joan Oliver Perez (Andratx, Spain/IES Baltasar Porcel) and Gabriel Nogara Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Dom Bosco) also won two matches apiece. The doubles pair won 9-8 at the top flight of doubles while also bringing home wins at the top two matches of singles action.
 
Kutztown hopes to keep its momentum rolling this weekend with a road match at Millersville University on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
