NCAA Regional Brackets KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's tennis team qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year Tuesday evening, when it learned it was selected as one of five at-large teams from the Atlantic Region to compete in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Bears (14-5) are the seventh seed and will play second-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan (13-3) on Saturday, May 3 in the First Round of the Atlantic Regionals at a time yet to be determined. The match will be played at the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
The winner of the KU-WVWC match will play the winner of third-seeded Charleston and sixth-seeded Edinboro on Sunday, May 4 in the Second Round.
This is the second straight year that Kutztown has qualified for the NCAA Tournament, as it hopes to win an opening round game as it did in 2013.
This is Kutztown's 14th appearance in the NCAA Division II championship tournament. The Golden Bears are 17-13 overall in the NCAA tournament since making their first appearance in 1998. KU has advanced to the Sweet 16 five times since 2004 with the most recent coming in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
The other half of the bracket features top-seeded Bluefield State, who has a first round bye and will face the winner of fourth-seeded Shaw and fifth-seeded Chowan.
