KU Earns Top Slots at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Kutztown University men's track and field team traveled to Princeton, N.J., Friday to compete in the Princeton Invitational.
 
RESULTS
 
Percell Berry (Collegeville, PA/Methacton) finished second in pole vault with a PSAC qualifying vault of 16-02.00 (4.93m).   
 
Quran Cason (Philadelphia, PA/Carver E&S) also saw a second place finish in the 200 meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 22.79.
 
John Lowery (Rohrersville, MD/Boonsboro) took third place in both the 35 lbs. weight throw, with a PSAC qualifying throw of 45-01.75 (13.76m), and in shot put with a PSAC qualifying toss of 51-07.00 (15.72m).
 
Ron Smith (Trevose, PA/Neshaminy) also saw a third place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.10. 
 
In third place, the Golden Bear team of Nathan Caruso (York, PA/Dallastown), Stephen Brown (Newark, DE/Appoquinimink), Dom Brass (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh), and Brad Mayer (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) finished the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:31.71.
    
In the 3,000 meter run, Joseph Dyas (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas) saw a fourth place finish with a time of 9:10.33, followed by Brian Taylor (Waldwick, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) (9:15.48) in fifth.

Next up for the Golden Bears is the PSAC Championships Saturday and Sunday, February 23-24.
