SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Kutztown men's outdoor track & field team began the 2026 regular season in style, recording 10 top-10 program marks, 12 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference standards and an NCAA Provisional to highlight Saturday's Keystone Challenge on the campus of Shippensburg University.

Five different individual Golden Bears won their respective events and the 4x100 relay team crossed the finish line first as well.

The sprinters of the 100m finished in order from one-through-four out of 20 runners overall.
Daron Haggans (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin),
Sean Singleton (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and
Kymanni Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) were first, second and third, respectively, all with PSAC qualifying times and KU top 10 times. Haggans was the winning sprinter at 10.46, which is the second-fastest time in program history. Singleton was second at 10.52, tied for third all-time and Johnson placed third at 10.64, which is tied for fifth at KU.
Vaughn Cole (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) ended the race fourth at 11.25. Singleton also had a PSAC time of 21.76 in the 200m, which ranks 10th in the record books.

Kevin Givone (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) had one of the better days in the grand scheme of things as he won the javelin with an NCAA Provisional mark of 66.37m, the second furthest throw in program lore.

Jaydon Witman (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg) ended first in the 110m hurdles at 14.44, a PSAC time and ranks second all-time. Singleton, Haggans,
James Washburn (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) and Johnson ran a 41.08 to win the 4x100 relay with the school's fourth best time.

In field events,
Trey Hamlin III (Townsend, Del./Caravel Academy) recorded two PSAC marks, winning the long jump at 7.26m, fifth all-time at KU, and placing second in the triple jump with a best leap of 13.88m.
Jake Kelly (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) finished second in the shot put with his furthest throw of 16.32m, a PSAC mark and second-best at KU.
Andrew Szeplaki (Bath, Pa./Northampton) had two PSAC standards, winning the pole vault with a highest clearance of 4.85m, 10th in program history, and then was third in the high jump at 1.95m. Both
Henry Cifaloglio (Vineland, N.J./Delsea Regional) and
Caleb Tryninewski (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) earned PSAC marks in the pole vault at 4.40m.

Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) finished second in the 1500m and fourth in the 800m, while
Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) placed third in the 800m.

Kutztown returns to action next weekend for a two-day Dr. Jack Toms Invitational, hosted by the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Va.
