KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Golden Bears' Men's cross country team aims to reach new heights in 2026 after a third place finish in the PSAC Championship last season.
Following an impressive showing at the PSAC Championship, a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships, and first-place victories at both the West Chester Opener and DII/III Challenge, Kutztown enters the 2026 season with a strong foundation to build upon.
The Maroon and Gold return standout runners
Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) and
Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), who both earned First Team All-PSAC honors after finishing 16th and 19th, respectively, at the PSAC Championship.
Willie Wiles (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford),
Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and
Weston Fry (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) also recorded consistent top-15 finishes throughout the 2025 season. Kutztown will look to fill the void left by graduated First Team All-PSAC runners
Jack Hollar (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) and
Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall).
Led by head coach
Ray Hoffman, the Golden Bears were picked to finish fourth in the PSAC Preseason poll. Shippensburg received 13 of the 15 first-place votes, while East Stroudsburg received the remaining two. West Chester rounded out the top three teams.
KU will open its season Sept. 4 in Coatesville, Pa., at the West Chester Opener. The Golden Bears will compete in four regular-season meets before returning to the PSAC Championship, which will be held Nov. 7 in Bloomsburg, Pa.
