KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) crossed the finish line in fourth and sixth, respectively, to lead the Kutztown men's cross country lineup Saturday afternoon as KU placed second overall at the annual DII/DIII Challenge on the North Campus Cross Country course.
 
Lloyd ran a time of 26:10.6 and Small was 26:25.2, as 67 runners competed in the challenge. Cole Doms (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) was just outside the top-10 in 11th with a time of 27:17.7. Willie Wiles (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) was 13th at 27:23.0, Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) was 15th at 27:30.5, Sean Carpenter (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood) was 18th at 27:36.1 and Weston Fry (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) ended in the top-20 at 20th in a time of 27:43.7. Ryan Fach (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) placed 24th with a time of 27:57.7.
 
The rest of the lineup that ran Saturday included Ryan Kenneff (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) in 33rd, Josh Poulton (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett) in 36th, JT Morton (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) in 46th and Brett Pevec (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) in 52nd.  
 
Point Park won the meet, Lock Haven finished third and Scranton was fourth.
 
Kutztown will head back to Lehigh University's Stabler Arena campus on Saturday, Oct. 2, in the Paul Short Run. The exact race and time is still to be determined. KU opened its 2026 season on Friday, Sept. 2.
