SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Kutztown men's outdoor track & field is ready to take the successes of the 2026 regular season and get it done when the lights are brightest, in the postseason, as the PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships runs this Thursday through Saturday at Shippensburg University.
The Golden Bears have a ton of momentum this year, entering the spring on the heels of a third-place finish at PSAC Indoor Championships, tying the best placing in program history. They will be well represented in both track events and field events, with multiple contenders for PSAC titles.
In the 100m,
Daron Haggans (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin),
Kymanni Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) and
Michael Fellin (Sheppton, Pa./Marian Catholic) are seeded within the top seven in the field, while Haggans and Johnson both rank in the top 10 in the 200m.
Ryan Kenneff (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) competes in the 800m,
Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) and
Willie Wiles (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) enter fourth and seventh, respectively in the 1500m,
Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and
Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) are fourth and seventh, respectively in the 5000m, and fourth and sixth, respectively in the 10,000m.
Jaydon Witman (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg) is the second seed in the 110m hurdles and
James Washburn (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) ranks fourth in the 400m hurdles. Wiles is the top seed in the 3000m steeplechase, with
Cole Doms (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) and
Weston Fry (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) also in the race.
The 4x100 relay team, consisting of Fellin, Haggans, Johnson,
Sean Singleton (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and
Steele Wrigley (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara), are seeded second overall. The Maroon and Gold also have a 4x400m relay team with Wrigley, Witman, Kenneff, Washburn and Haggans.
In field events,
Andrew Szeplaki (Bath, Pa./Northampton) is the top seed in the pole vault, with
Caleb Tryninewski (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) and
Henry Cifaloglio (Vineland, N.J./Delsea Regional) tied for eighth and
Casey Huie (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) also in the field.
Trey Hamlin III (Townsend, Del./Caravel Academy) will compete in both the long jump and triple jump, entering third in the long jump.
Gabe Sample (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) is also in the long jump. In the javelin,
Kevin Givone (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) ranks third.
Both
Owen Weaver (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and
Dain Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) compete in the decathlon, which kicks things off Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m., with the 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m. Friday begins at 10:00 a.m., with the rest of the decathlon events (110 hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500m). Saturday's events start at 11:00 a.m., with the pole vault, shot put and javelin.
There are no cash sales on tickets, with a link provided above to purchase tickets. Thursday is FREE, while Friday and Saturday are $12 per day general admission, $7 for students (K-12) and PSAC students with ID, along with children under five, are FREE.
