SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Kutztown men's outdoor track & field opened up competition in the three-day Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships Thursday at Shippensburg University with Owen Weaver (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) competing in five events in the decathlon and Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) posting new program top 10 marks in the 10,000m run to highlight the day.
 
Lloyd finished fourth overall out of 20 runners in a time of 31:10.08, which ranks fourth all-time at KU and earned his team five points. Small also earned team points, bringing in four with a fifth-place finish at 31:11.29, fifth-fastest in program history.
 
Weaver finished half of the 10 events in the decathlon Thursday, with the final five taking place Friday. He placed third in two different events, crossing the finish line in the 100m at 11.18 and the 400m race at 51.95.
 
Kutztown is positioned tied for third overall out of 13 teams in the standings with nine points.
 
Day two on Friday is set to begin with the final five events in the decathlon at 10 a.m. In other action, the high jump is scheduled for noon and on the track, the 4x100 relay prelims get things going at 1:15 p.m.
