LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior sprinter
Michael Fellin (Sheppton, Pa./Marian Catholic) capped off a successful 2024-25 campaign by earning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's Track Athlete of the Year, announced Wednesday.
Fellin becomes just the second Track Athlete of the Year and first since Scott Eisenhart following the 2002-03 season. He joins former teammate,
Joe Jardine (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley), as back-to-back PSAC Athletes of the Year, Jardine earning Field Athlete last year. Outside of that trio, only Justin Collins, who received PSAC Field Athlete of the Year in 2003-04, was recognized for a major postseason accolade.
Fellin concluded the indoor season becoming KU's first-ever All-American in the 60-meter dash when he claimed Second Team honors by placing 12th overall at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Fellin easily beat the NCAA provisional cut time of 7.05 in all five meets in which he competed in the 60m this winter. The Sheppton, Pa., native saved his best for last, however, establishing a new school record and winning conference gold with a 6.65 in the final of the PSAC Indoor Championships.
Fellin's season- and career-best time was tied for the fourth-fastest in Division II this year. He was named Men's Outstanding Track Athlete as the "fastest man in the PSAC" following the Indoor Championships.
