BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Kutztown men's and women's indoor track & field began its 2025-26 campaign Friday night as it usually does each year, at the two-day Fast Times Before Finals at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse.
 
In a smaller outing Friday, when more compete on Saturday, the Golden Bears saw a quartet, two from each program, earn Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying standards.
 
Andrew Szeplaki (Bath, Pa./Northampton) won the pole vault with a best leap of 4.70m (15-5.0) and Jake Kelly's (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) top throw of 15.51m (50-10.75) placed him second in the weight throw. On the women's side, both Marissa McNamee (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and Natalie Holland (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) cleared marks of 3.35m (10-11.75) for the PSAC marks.
 
Owen Weaver (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and Dain Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) are competing in the pentathlon, which will continue to Saturday.
 
Action on day two of the Fast Times Before Finals from Lehigh begins at 10 a.m., tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 6, from Rauch Fieldhouse.
