BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Kutztown University men's track & field team took part in the Lehigh Games Friday and Saturday afternoon over in Bethlehem, Pa. Sophomore thrower Jacob Solonoski (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) entered KU's all-time top ten in the hammer throw, while nine other Golden Bears earned PSAC marks over the course of the weekend.

Solonoski kicked off the weekend's action on Friday with his 50.63m (166'1") performance in the hammer throw, which is now the ninth-best mark in Kutztown history. Jason Staunton (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) threw his personal best in the event as well, with a throw of 43.46m (142'7"). The javelin throw also took place on Friday, with both Kevin Givone (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and Anthony Helmstetter (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) setting PSAC marks in the event, finishing third and fifth respectively. 

In Saturday's action, Michael Fellin (Sheppton, Pa./Marian Catholic) won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.99, which was a PSAC mark. He bested second-place finisher Cooper Hyken from Bucknell by .08 of a second. He wasn't KU's only winner on the day. Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) won both the long and triple jump events, while Jason Mraz (Edison, N.J./Edison) captured first place in the pole vault. 

The 400 meters was littered with Golden Bears at the top, with James Washburn (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River), JT Tamayo (Reading, Pa./Wilson), and Don Hill (Philadelphia, Pa./Neshaminy) finishing 1-2-3, all setting PSAC marks in the process. Dekai Averett (Douglassville, Pa./Souderton) finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a PSAC time of 14.97. Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) was the other Golden Bear with a PSAC mark, finishing third in the long jump with a 13.68m (44'10.75") performance.

KU is back in action next weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. The events kick off on Friday, April 14 and run to Sunday, April 16.
