MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Despite rough conditions due to the weather, the Kutztown University men's track & field team weathered the storm and showed out at the Millersville Metrics, hosted at Millersville University Saturday afternoon.
 
Six Golden Bears earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks in seven events.
 
Owen Weaver (Baldwinsville, Pa./C.W. Baker) was the lone Golden Bear on the track to reach PSAC times, finishing in the top-10 in the 110 hurdles at 16.17.
 
Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) placed second in the triple jump and third in the long jump with PSAC marks of 13.95m (45-9.25) and 6.71m (22-0.25), respectively. Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) placed second in the high jump with a best leap of 1.93m (6-4). Jacob Solonoski (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) threw a top mark of 48.20m (158-1) in the hammer throw and both Kevin Givone (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and Anthony Helmstetter (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex) hit qualifying marks in the javelin at 53.94m (177-0) and 52.25m (171-0.5), respectively.
 
Kutztown is back in action next weekend for a two-day event at the Lehigh Games in Bethlehem, beginning on Friday, April 7.
