KUTZTOWN, Pa. --
Sarah Lazarchak (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) went the distance at No. 4 singles and pulled out a victory for the Kutztown University women's tennis team, winning 6-2, 3-6, 10-5, as KU dropped a non-conference match to Frostburg State 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at Keystone Courts.
The Golden Bears (2-3 overall) were victorious the previous day at Mary Baldwin, winning 7-2.
Ava Lewis (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) and
Jess Marks (Allentown, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) won three games at No. 1 doubles. Lewis also earned four wins at No. 1 singles, along with
Angela Moncavage (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) at No. 6 singles.
Brianna Wendling (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) and Marks each won twice in their respective singles bouts, and
Jessika Klo (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) won three games at No. 5 singles.
Kutztown will next compete at home against Seton Hill on Friday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m.
