KUTZTOWN, Pa. – During the summer months, Kutztown athletics takes a break from competition. So, what do Golden Bear student-athletes like to do in their down time? Over the next month, we will be catching up with some KU Golden Bears.

What is your favorite thing about summer?
- My favorite thing about summer is getting to be outside a lot more.
What is your favorite thing to do during the summer?
- My favorite thing to do during the summer is spending time with friends and family doing various activities.
Favorite vacation spot you've been to? One place you haven't been to yet, but would like to?
- My favorite vacation spot that I have been to was Disney back in 2018, which was such a neat experience. A place I would love to go to but haven't yet is Universal, hoping to be going next year as a graduation trip.
What have you been up to/current plans this summer from a sport perspective?
- From a sports perspective, this summer I have been playing softball in a women's league, helped with the Nike Tennis Camp that was on campus, working with a personal trainer to get stronger, and hitting with a girl who will be trying out this fall. I try my best over the summer to stay as active as possible, whether it's practicing tennis or playing softball.
What's a song you can jam out to that makes you feel like it's summer?
- I believe the song "Heat Waves," by Glass Animals or "Memories," by David Guetta is a song that makes it feel like it's summer.
What do you miss about KU during the summer months?
- I miss getting to do new projects and meeting new people in the classes that I am in. I also miss all the fun activities that are always happening on campus.
Favorite place to be on campus when it's a nice, sunny and warm day?
- I am either chilling in the shade outside under a tree or I am in the Rec Center doing my work, because that's the most peaceful place for me.
Favorite summer dessert/treat?
- My favorite summer dessert or treat is any type of ice cream from anywhere.
Favorite way to keep cool during the summer?
- As of now, my favorite way to keep cool during the summer is either taking a cold shower or relaxing in my air-conditioned room.
Any summer traditions you do with friends/family that you enjoy?
- My family and I started going to the beach just last summer, and now it's sort of a tradition we do right before school.
What do you look forward to most about returning to KU in August?
- What I am looking forward to most when we go back in August is that I am graduating next spring, so I want to be involved in as many things that are happening on campus as possible. I want to make my last year the best year. I am also really excited that from January 26th through February 13th, I will be having a solo exhibition in Shardin.
