WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's and women's track & field team had a small number of competitors, all pole vaulters, brave the rainy and windy conditions Saturday afternoon at the Golden Ram Invitational, hosted by West Chester University.
Â
Haleigh Davis (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) was the lone Golden Bear to clear her height and finished the women's event in fourth with a best clearance of 3.00m (9-10). It was the first pole vault event of the freshman's career.
Â
Ellie DeLucia (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg),
Megan Kearns (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) and
Andrea Danciu (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin), along with
Trenton Zavada (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./James M. Coughlin) all were in the KU lineup.
Â
Kutztown will have competitors in the annual Mondschein Multi on Wednesday, April 6, and Thursday, April 7, at Andre Reed Stadium. The rest of the team will be back in action at either the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University on Friday, April 8, or at the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian University the same day.
