Men’s Track & Field shows off numbers at Colonial Relays and Millersville Metrics Saturday

For the second straight day, the Colonial Relays at William & Mary were kind to the Kutztown University men's track & field team. KU had four of its five competitors earn Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Qualifying marks in their respective events.
 
Jason Mraz (Edison, N.J./Edison) finished second overall in the pole vault with a best clearance of 4.30m (14-1.25). Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) both earned PSAC marks in the triple jump and Logan Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) had a qualifying time of 32:47.63 in the 10,000m. Nate Schaeffer (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) also competed in the pole vault. KU finished 29th out of 40 teams with 10 points.
 
At Millersville, Harley Cheatham (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) and Tyeshawn Worrell (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) both qualified for PSAC Championships in the high jump and 100m, respectively. Worrell had a personal-best time of 10.84 and won the 100m, earning his team 10 points. Cheatham finished third in the high jump with a best jump of 1.85m (6-0.75). The 4x1 relay team, consisting of Savaughn Hebron (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy), Worrell, Justin Robinson (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and Elijah Hildreth (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) crossed the finish line in first and won 10 points. Port Habalar (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) placed seventh in the 5000m in a time of 15:47.00 to earn his team two points.
 
KU was eighth out of 22 teams with 32 points.
 
Kutztown will have competitors in the annual Mondschein Multi on Wednesday, April 6, and Thursday, April 7, at Andre Reed Stadium. The rest of the team will be back in action at either the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University on Friday, April 8, or at the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian University the same day.
