LEWISBURG, Pa. – Four Kutztown University men's track & field athletes posted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, highlighting day one at the Bison Outdoor Classic Friday, hosted by Bucknell University.
 
Jason Mraz (Edison, N.J./Edison), Anthony Helmstetter (Middlesex, N.J./Middlesex), Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Port Habalar (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) all earned the PSAC marks. Mraz finished in the top-10 in the pole vault with a best leap of 4.35m (14'3.25"). Helmstetter had a personal-best throw of 54.88m (180'1") in the javelin and DeFusco's jump of 6.77m (22'2.5") in the long jump highlighted KU on the field side. On the track, Habalar crossed the finish line in a personal-best time of 4:04.91 in the 1500m.
 
Logan Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) just missed qualifying in the 5000m, finishing in a time of 15:40.26. Giordanovenchy Cerisier (North Wales, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) also competed in the 5000m and Ryan Mills (Great Bend, Pa./Blue Ridge) competed in the long jump.
 
Kutztown concludes day two of the Bison Outdoor Classic tomorrow, Saturday, April 16, beginning at 10 a.m.
