EDINBORO, Pa. – Sophomore
Tyeshawn Worrell (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) had himself a weekend in Edinboro as the sophomore improved on his program record in the 60m, winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship with a time of 6.80, another NCAA-provisional, a day after he ran a 6.84. Kutztown University men's track & field finished seventh overall with 33.5 points at PSACs, concluding Sunday at Edinboro University.
Worrell is Kutztown's first PSAC champion in the 60m and joins
Jason Mraz (Edison, N.J./Edison) as All-PSAC representatives for KU. Mraz finished second in the pole vault on Saturday with a mark of 4.50m (14-9).
In the field events,
Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and
TJ White (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) both finished in the top-five in the triple jump and high jump, respectively. DeFusco earned five points with a fourth-place finish at 14.18m (46-6.25) and White brought the Golden Bears 3.5 points, placing fifth at 1.92m (6-3.50).
NCAA Indoor Championships are set for Friday, March 11, and Saturday, March 12, in Pittsburg, Kansas.
