LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's track & field team opened day one of a two-day event strong Friday evening at the Bison Invitational, hosted by Bucknell University.
Logan Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) highlighted the Golden Bears outing, finishing second overall out of 13 runners in the 5000m at a time of 15:29.47, which is a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying time.
Darien Clarke (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) and
Cameron Baumgardner (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) are competing in the heptathlon. The event is halfway through with Clarke sitting in eighth with 1683 points and Baumgardner in 11th with 1556 points. The events competed so far include the 60m, long jump and shot put.
Day two of competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 29, back at Bucknell.
*The rest of Friday's events where results did not come in will be added with Saturday's recaps. This includes the pole vault and distance medley relay.
