SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Junior Joan Estrella (Reading, Pa./Reading) had a team-best, third-place finish in the javelin as the Kutztown University men's track & field team ended the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in eighth place overall with 34 points on the final day, Saturday, at Shippensburg University.
 
The Golden Bears had competitors in six other events, including top-10 finishers in the triple jump, high jump and 200m, individually. Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) earned three team points with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump at 13.49m (44-3.25). Tommy Oliver (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) had a season-best leap of 1.89m (6-2.25) in the high jump, placing eighth and earning 0.5 team points. Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) was ninth and 10th in the triple and high jumps respectfully. Savaughn Hebron (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) crossed the finish line in ninth in the 200m at 22.83.
 
The 4x1 relay team of Hebron, Andrew Bosche (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), Zach Austen (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Teagan Fortna (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) qualified for the final from last night's prelim and earned one team point with an eighth-place finish at 46.19.
 
Andrew Sulon (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) competed in the 5000m and was 11th out of 16 runners with a time of 15:30.13.
