CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Kutztown University women's track & field team competed in two events on Saturday's final day of the 49er Classic.
Macey Tanseco (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the way in the shot put, while
Ashley Stewart (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Jefferson Township) ran an outdoor career-best in the 200m.
Tanseco finished 18th in the shot put at 40-1.50, a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying mark.
In the 200m, Stewart ran a career-best 25.98 for 64th and a new PSAC mark.
Meghan Forsythe (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Hubert Catholic) followed Stewart in the 200m at 26.77.
The Golden Bear squad returns north and returns to action in two weeks, Saturday, March 31, at a four-way meet at West Chester with WCU, East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg.
