KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's tennis team dropped its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup this season to Mercyhurst University, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon at Keystone Courts.
 
In doubles action, the pair of Nikolay Kodinov (Plovdiv, Bulgaria/Model High School of Mathematics) and Gabriel Nogara Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Dom Bosco) came away with an 8-6 victory in the second flight.
 
After doubles play, the lone Golden Bear to pull out a victory in singles action was Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain/Claret (Post)), who lost his first set 1-6, but came storming back with 6-1 and 6-4 victories in the second and third sets to close out the match in the third flight.
 
The Golden Bears will remain at home tomorrow, Sunday, April 9, to square off against fellow PSAC opponent Edinboro University at Keystone Courts. The match will begin at 11 a.m.
