Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) won her third consecutive singles match, and
Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and
Ashley Carter (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) teamed for a 9-7 triumph in doubles play, but the Kutztown University women's tennis team fell to Bloomsburg 7-2 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action at the Keystone Courts on Tuesday.
Capoferri's 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles was her team-best fourth this season, all of which have come at the second flight.
Notably, outside of Capoferri,
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won a team-best seven games in a setback at No. 1 singles.
Malik and Carter improved to .500 at 3-3 together with their win at No. 3 doubles.
Konas and Capoferri also played well together in doubles play, dropping an 8-4 decision at the first flight.
KU (2-10, 0-4 PSAC East) wraps up PSAC play on Saturday with a 12 p.m. matchup against East Stroudsburg at Stroudsburg High School.
