BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Kutztown University women's tennis team fell to Chestnut Hill College on Sunday afternoon, 9-0, in a non-conference matchup at the Bloomsburg Duals.
Junior
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won a team-high two games at No. 1 singles in a 6-1, 6-1 setback to Laure-Anne Josso.
Kady Wuagon (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) competed at No. 6 singles for KU as she suffered a 6-1, 6-0 defeat to Louise Charley.
In doubles action, KU won a game at both No. 1 and No. 2.
Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and Konas teamed up in an 8-1 setback at No. 1 doubles, while
Vicki Norman (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) and
Jessica Caples (McSherrystown, Pa./New Oxford) also fell 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Kutztown returns to action on Tuesday, April 12, at 3 p.m. as it takes on Bloomsburg University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
