Results HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Kutztown University women's tennis team took to the courts in Hilton Head on Sunday evening in its first competition of spring break. KU took on West Liberty University but dropped a 9-0 decision while winning games in five matches.
In doubles action to open the evening,
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and
Jessica Burns (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) teamed up at the top flight. They won a team-high five games in an 8-5 setback.
Konas won four games at the top flight of singles, as Burns also won one at the second flight. KU retired the third flight due to injury and won three games over the final three singles matches.
Action resumes on Monday, March 7, with a 9 a.m. match against Webster University.
