Box Score KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Two Golden Bears won singles matches on Wednesday as the Kutztown University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Harford Community College in non-conference competition at the Keystone Courts.
Jessica Burns moved to 2-0 since her return to the court this spring with a big win at No. 1 singles. She won the first set 6-1, and responded well after falling in the second set 3-6 with a 10-7 tiebreaker. Following her at the second flight of singles,
Vicki Norman also won in a tiebreaker. After dropping the opening set 6-4, she rallied with a 6-2, 10-6 win.
Kutztown's other three singles players dropped straight sets, and KU won one game in the two competed doubles matches.
The Golden Bears are set to take on Cheyney University on Thursday, April 2 for two matches at home beginning at 2 p.m.
