LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – No. 1 Kutztown field hockey swept this week's PSAC Athlete of the Week honors following a pair of game-winning performances last week.

Junior forward Ellie Myers (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) was named PSAC Athlete of the Week, while junior goalkeeper Lorelai Lehenky (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) earned PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Myers continued her scoring run, finding the back of the net in both of Kutztown's wins last week. Her biggest goal came in a 1-0 victory over then-No. 1 Shippensburg last Wednesday, giving the Golden Bears a measure of revenge against the reigning PSAC and NCAA champions.

Myers added another goal Saturday in a 5-0 win at Mansfield, helping Kutztown remain undefeated at 7-0. She now leads the PSAC with eight goals this season.

Lehenky was equally instrumental in keeping the Golden Bears unbeaten, earning wins and shutouts in both of last week's games.

Against Shippensburg, Lehenky recorded three saves, including two crucial stops on penalty corners in the fourth quarter, to earn her first shutout of the season. She started again at Mansfield and played the first 44:42 of the 5-0 victory.

Lehenky currently leads the PSAC with a 0.00 goals-against average and a 1.000 save percentage, having yet to allow a goal this season.

The Golden Bears return to action Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. taking on No. 10 Millersville.
