GRANTHAM, Pa. – Kutztown women's outdoor track & field traveled a trio of Golden Bears to compete in the Messiah Multi and Invitational Thursday and Friday in Grantham, Pa.
 
Samantha Boyle (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional), Emily Bozena (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) and Andrea Danciu (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) competed in seven events in the heptathlon spanning the two days. Boyle finished seventh overall out of 17 competitors with 3316 points, Bozena placed ninth with 3049 points and Danciu was 10th with 3024 points.
 
Boyle's highest finish was in the high jump, where her best leap of 1.51m (4-11.50) was tied for second out of the field. She also had a fourth-place finish in the 100m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 16.09. Bozena placed second in the javelin with a furthest throw of 29.05m (95-04). Danciu's best finish was sixth in the long jump at 4.55m (14-11.25).
 
The main contingent of Kutztown will be competing at the two-day Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University starting tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, at 10:45 a.m.
