SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Kutztown women's outdoor track & field is turning it's attention to the postseason this weekend as the PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships runs this Thursday through Saturday at Shippensburg University.

The Golden Bears look to better their finish from last season's outdoor championships when they placed seventh overall out of 15 teams.

On the track,
Gabby Keith (Reading, Pa./Exeter) is the highest seed Golden Bear, as she enters seventh in the 1500m.
Maura Lenhart (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) is seeded eighth in the 10,000m and ninth in the 5000m.
Beth Schearer (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) ranks ninth in the 200m,
Maggie Coleman (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) is the 10th seed in the 400m and both
Mackey Donovan (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) and
Emma Newton (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) will compete in the 800m. Donovan and
Jensen Kraft (Nutley, N.J./Saint Mary) are also in the 1500m and
Lizzie Brown (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) is competing in both the 5000m and 10,000m, along with
Sage Dunkleberger (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run). Kraft and
Faith Belote (Easton, Pa./Easton) are both looking for titles in the 3000m steeplechase.

The 4x100 relay team, consisting of
Andrea Danciu (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin), Schearer, Coleman,
Brook Smith (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and
Isabella Hughes (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Schuylkill Haven) are seeded seventh and the 4x400 relay team of Schearer,
Brook Spano (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone), Keith, Coleman, Hughes and Donovan are ninth.

In field events,
Natalie Holland (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) is tied for second in the pole vault, with
Taylor Funk (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) fifth,
Marissa McNamee (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) ninth and
Evelyn Kruczek (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) rounds out the field.
Maria Clark (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) is the two seed in the discus and the four seed in the shot put.
Saige Thibodeaux (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida S. Baker) will be competing in the javelin.
Samantha Boyle (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) will also be a competitor in the heptathlon.

The championships get kicked off on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m., with the heptathlon, featuring the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and the 200m. On Friday, action begins with the final events of the heptathlon at 10:30 a.m., the long jump, javelin and the 800m. On Saturday, field events start the day with the triple jump at 11:00 a.m.
