SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Samantha Boyle (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) competed in four of the seven total events in the heptathlon and a trio of Golden Bears ran the 10,000m to kick things off Thursday at the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at Shippensburg University.
 
Maura Lenhart (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) paced the KU pack with a sixth place finish in the 10,000, at 36:52.81, which is the seventh-fastest time in program history and earned Kutztown three team points. Lizzie Brown (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) also had a top 10 finish in ninth at 37:58.52 and Sage Dunkleberger (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) was the third runner and was 12th at 38:25.99.
 
Boyle competed in the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m Thursday with the long jump, javelin and 800m run still to come Friday. Her best placing of the day was sixth in the high jump at 1.51m (4-11.5).
 
Kutztown currently sits seventh overall out of the field of 15 teams with just the three competitors in the 10,000m run going so far.
 
Action on day two begins at 10:30 a.m., with the rest of the heptathlon. Field events start with the long jump and discus at noon, and action on the track begins at 1:05 p.m., with the 4x100 relay prelims.
