LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Kutztown University freshman forward Carly Louey (Hanover, Pa./South Western) was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Louey netted the game-winning goal in each of the ninth-ranked Golden Bears' victories last week.

The Hanover, Pa., native headed in the game's only goal in the 58th minute as Kutztown defeated rival East Stroudsburg on the road Wednesday.

Louey got the Maroon and Gold started early on Saturday at Shippensburg, scoring her team-leading eighth goal of the fall in the 11th minute of a 2-0 win.

Louey leads the PSAC and ranks second nationally with five game-winning goals, while ranking third in the conference in total goals (8) and total points (19).

Louey was recognized with the first PSAC East Athlete of the Week honor of her career back on Sept. 14.

Kutztown returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 14, against Lackawanna at Keystone Field for Kutztown Soccer Club Youth Night. Game time is 7 p.m.
