Golden Bears win Jefferson Rams Fall Invitational

NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- Kutztown University women's golf placed all four of its scoring golfers in the top five to win Thursday's Jefferson Rams Fall Invitational at the Jeffersonville Golf Club in convincing fashion.

KU topped host Jefferson by 18 shots with a winning total of 348 (+64) on the par 71, 5,618-yard course. The Rams finished with a 366 team total (+82), while NCAA Division III Elizabethtown was third at 411 (+127). PSAC foe East Stroudsburg did not factor into the team scoring with only three players entered in the tournament.

Brooke Graham (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) led the Golden Bears with a runner-up finish after shooting 13-over par 84. The junior racked up 10 pars on the way to her second top five in three tournaments this fall.

Freshman Livia Andov (Pekanbaru, Indonesia) recorded her second-best round of the season with an 86 to take third in the 21-player field. Andov completed her round with six pars, including four on the front nine.

Grace Klements (Little Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Pinelands Regional) and Eva Moawad (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) shot matching rounds of 89 to tie for fourth. Klements birdied No. 11, a 335-yard par 4, and added four pars. Moawad contributed six pars.

Gabby Cohen (Jeffersonville, N.Y./Sullivan West) carded a pair of pars and finished with a 95 to complete Kutztown's lineup. The Golden Bears got a sixth-place finish from Rhi Stutz (Prescott, Wisc./Prescott), who was entered as an individual. Stutz sank a birdie putt on the first hole, a par 5 playing at 404 yards, and went on to register four pars during her round of 92. Freshman Alana Cristino (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township), also entered as an individual, shot 103.

The Kutztown Fall Invitational at Moselem Springs Golf Club is next up for the Golden Bears on Sunday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 6.
