GETTYSBURG, Pa. --Â
Brooke Graham (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) shot a 7-over par 79 to lead the way as the Kutztown University women's golf team opened its 2025-26 season under sun-drenched skies with the first round of the WCU Battlefield Classic at the Links at Gettysburg, Monday.
The Golden Bears couldn't have asked for better weather to begin the new season as temperatures hovered in the mid 70s throughout the afternoon.
Graham, a two-time All-PSAC First Team selection, settled right in. The junior from Carlisle, Pa., carded two birdies during a three hole stretch on the front nine, going one-under at the 342-yard par 4 fourth and 142-yard par 3 sixth. Graham would make the turn at even par (36) before adding four pars on the back nine to finish at 7-over 79 on the par 72 course playing at 5,809 yards.
Graham is tied for sixth on the leaderboard and is just four shots off the leading pace set by West Chester's Cara Murphy (73).
