KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown lacrosse graduate student goalie Jenna Blesson (Sparta, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional) earned two important victories in net last week, including one against a nationally-ranked opponent. With her success in between the pipes, Blesson recorded her first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week honor, as voted on by the league office Tuesday.
 
Blesson was on the winning end of both games last week in goal, defeating No. 9 East Stroudsburg and then a road win at Shippensburg. In the two games, she combined for 13 saves. Blesson had a shutout in the win over the Raiders and finished with five saves, making eight against the Warriors.
 
Blesson ranks fourth in the PSAC in goals against average at 9.16.
 
Kutztown has just one game this week. The Golden Bears host Shepherd on Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m., from Keystone Field.
