LANCASTER, Pa. -- Colby Orndorf (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and RJ Otten (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) qualified for finals in the 500-yard freestyle as the Kutztown University men's swim team competed at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Friday.

Otten claimed the final spot in the 500 free B Final with a PSAC qualifying time of 4:56.99 to rank 16th in preliminaries. Orndorf, making his debut in the event, swam a PSAC cut time of 4:58.46 for 19th to make the C Final.

In the finals, Otten dropped more than three seconds to place 16th in 4:53.48. Orndorf was fourth in his final and 22nd overall, cutting over two seconds off his morning session time with a 4:56.22.

Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) turned in another PSAC cut time in the 50 free and improved upon his seventh-best time in KU history by eight-hundredths of a second with a 21.77 to place 28th overall.

Kutztown will continue its weekend at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday with the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 800 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay. Preliminary heats begin at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m.
