YORK, Pa. – Kutztown men's swimming is gearing up for the 2025-26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships this week, running from Wednesday morning through Saturday night at the Graham Aquatic Center at the YMCA in York.

For morning sessions, doors open at 9:00 a.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for Wednesday-Friday evening sessions and will open at 4:00 p.m. for Saturday's evening session. The preliminary rounds begin at 10 a.m., each day, with the finals scheduled for 5:30 p.m., the first three nights and 5 p.m., on Saturday.

Purchasing tickets ahead of time is highly encouraged. Ticket prices are: Adult AM Session: $6.00, Adult PM Session: $9.00, Student K-12 AM/PM Session: $5.00.

Adult All-Session Pass: $55.00, Student K-12 All-Session Pass: $25.00. College students from member institutions with valid ID: FREE ADMISSION. No complimentary passes. PSAC Passes are honored.

There will be nine Golden Bears competing in at least three different events with one member swimming in five and seven others in four.
Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain),
Reilly Jones (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury),
Theo Miksa (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East),
RJ Otten (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa),
Nigel Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North),
Andrew Pletz (Allentown, Pa./Parkland),
Zach Schurr (Chattanooga, Tenn./McCallie School),
Nevin Shaw (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and
Paul Spear (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) all hit the pool at Graham looking to reach the podium. Pizzo will be competing in a team-high five events.

The highest ranked Golden Bear entering an event for prelims is Pletz, who is sixth overall out of 25 swimmers in the 1650 Free in a qualifying time of 16:17.45. Otten is ninth overall out of 26 competitors in the 400 IM in a qualifying time of 4:11.32. He is also ninth in the 200 Fly at 1:55.80.

The Golden Bears will also be in five relay events, the 800 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 200 Medley Relay.

In its first PSAC Championship event since its last competitive season of 2008-09 last year, Kutztown finished seventh overall in the team standings out of eight teams with 132 points.
