YORK, Pa. -- Nevin Shaw (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) broke his own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke during both preliminary heats and finals, and Andrew Pletz (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) recorded a top 10 finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle as the Kutztown University men's swim team wrapped up the 2026 PSAC Championships with a seventh-place team finish, Saturday, at the Graham Aquatic Center.

Shaw's previous school record of 2:07.45, set at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational back in November, fell by the wayside when the Lansdale, Pa., native swam a 2:06.92 in prelims to clock in 13th of 29 competitors and advance to the B Final. There, Shaw dropped into the 2:05 range with a program record 2:05.63 to take 12th place.

Pletz went 16:26.61 in the mile to secure a ninth-place finish, while Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) represented KU in the 100 freestyle B Final with a 12th-place finish (46.46).

In the only relay of the day, Kutztown took eighth in the 400 free relay with Bair, Pletz, Reilly Jones (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) and Nigel Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) combining for a 3:15.74.

Kutztown, in its second season back as a varsity program, collected its second straight seventh-place team finish, but saw its point total jump from 132 to 177 between the 2025 and 2026 championships.

West Chester won its fourth straight PSAC championship in runaway fashion with 1,050 points. Gannon was a distant runner-up with 529 points, ahead of Bloomsburg (477), Clarion (425) and IUP (309).
