KUTZTOWN, Pa. – There's nothing better than winning the regular season finale to gain momentum heading into the postseason. A positive add on is when it is on senior day and the senior class can go out on top. That's what happened Saturday afternoon as third-ranked Kutztown defeated Roberts Wesleyan 5-0 in a non-conference game at Andre Reed Stadium.
Â
Prior to the game, head coach
Marci Scheuing and her staff recognized seven Golden Bears for senior day, including
Juliana Donato (Cedarville, N.J./Schalick),
Megan Doyle (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown),
Sarah Gatehouse (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson),
Mia Kepler (Wall Township, N.J./Wall),
Greenleigh McGehee (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh),
Danielle Panati (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) and
Mia Simpson (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette).
Â
The Golden Bears (13-4 overall) concluded the regular season on a three-game win streak.
Â

Â
McGehee netted two goals, the first of the game coming just 1:52 into the contest, and the last goal of the game, coming with just 2:48 remaining. Donato finished with a goal and an assist and recorded her 29th career assist along the way, putting her in solo possession of third in program history. Gatehouse found the back of the cage in the third quarter on an assist by
Paige Bucher (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest), and
