Bethlehem, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's cross country team showcased remarkable tenacity during the exhilarating Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon. Competing against a formidable field of 38 teams, the Golden Bears finished 23rd overall in the Men's College Brown 8K, accumulating a total of 681 points.
Leading the charge for Kutztown was
Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), who blazed through the 8K course with an impressive time of 26:20.5. His performance not only set the tone for the team but also energized his teammates.
Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth),
Jacob Huber (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley), and
Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) followed closely behind, each finishing within seconds of one another with times of 26:51.1, 26:51.9, and 26:52.8, respectively.
The strength of the Golden Bears was further emphasized by contributions from
Sean Carpenter (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) (27:35.5),
Willie Wiles (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) (27:37.7),
Kayden Platania (Buena, N.J./Buena Regional) (27:58.9),

As the Golden Bears look ahead, they aim to build on this momentum for the PSAC Championships, which will be hosted at their home turf on Saturday, Oct. 26.Â
