KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University Men's Cross Country team competed in the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Kutztown University at the North Campus Farm Loop Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.

The Golden Bears finished the 8,000-meter race seventh out of 15 teams. KU was led by junior Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall), who was named to the All-PSAC team with a 13th place time of 25:59.6. Freshman Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown), junior Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and sophomore Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) all crossed the line around the 27-minute mark, while junior Jacob Huber (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) rounded out the race's top 50 times with a run of 27:14.1.

The Shippensburg Raiders dominated the race, with their top five runners finishing within the top 10 of the meet, including individual champion Garrett Quinan, who recorded a mark of 25:34.8 to lead the 150-runner field.

The Golden Bears look to extend their season at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships on Nov. 9 at the West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven, Pa., with the hopes of advancing to the NCAA DII Championships at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, Calif on Nov. 23.
