EDINBORO, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's track & field team will be at Edinboro University this weekend for the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships being held Saturday and Sunday at the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome.
It is the first Indoor Championships since 2019-20.
The Golden Bear men are still seeking their first NCAA provisionally-qualifying mark of the indoor season but had 16 different student-athletes earn PSAC standards to qualify for championships.
On the track,
Tyeshawn Worrell (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) is the highest ranked competitor, positioned fourth overall in the 60m.
Elijah Hildreth (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) is also in the top-10 in the 60m. Both
Logan Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) and
Giordanovenchy Cerisier (North Wales, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) rank in the top-10, appearing seventh and eighth respectively in the 5000m. The distance medley relay team, consisting of
Savaughn Hebron (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy),
Jack Hollar (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East),
Matt Salazar (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills),
Domenick Wallace (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) and/or
Port Habalar (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) are sixth overall.
In the field events, the Maroon and Gold's largest events are the high jump, triple jump and pole vault, where three Golden Bears are competing in each.
Harley Cheatham (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem),
TJ White (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) and
Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) all rank inside the top-10 in the high jump.
Jason Mraz (Edison, N.J./Edison) is second in the pole vault, followed by
Nate Schaeffer (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) at seventh and
Trenton Zavada (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./James M. Coughlin) in 11th. In the triple jump,
Anthony DeFusco (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and
Jordon Floyd (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) are third and fourth, respectively, with
Ryan Mills (Great Bend, Pa./Blue Ridge) rounding out the lineup.
Cameron Baumgardner (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) competes in the heptathlon, which begins Saturday and concludes on Sunday.
Saturday's slate begins at 11 a.m., and Sunday is set for an 11:30 p.m., start.
