RESULTS
 
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Freshman Brianna Foster (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park) broke a three-year old record in the 55m and four other Golden Bears earned top-10 program marks to highlight the Kutztown University women's track & field team Friday at the annual KU Last Chance Qualifier at O'Pake Fieldhouse.
 
Foster's 7.20 to win the 55m final was 0.02 faster than Kelly Groth's 7.22, achieved on the same track in 2019. In the field events, Gabby Payne's (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) 5.55m (18-2.50) leap won the long jump and ranks third all-time in program history. Myah Davies (New Market, Md./Linganore) best clearance of 3.65m (11-11.70) in the pole vault puts her fourth all-time at KU, and both Kathleen Silverman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Haylee Edwards' (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) 3.55m (11-7.76) in the event is good for eighth all-time.
 
Five other Golden Bears finished first in their respective events, including Kira Solt (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) in the 55 hurdles, Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) in the 200m, Devon Montanari (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) in the 400m, Madeline Barney (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) in the 3000m and Ally Tama (Towanda, Pa./Towanda) in the pole vault.
 
Kutztown will now prepare for PSAC Championships next weekend at Edinboro University. The two-day event begins next Saturday, Feb. 26, and concludes the following day.
