Women’s Track & Field conclude final road meet of regular season at National Fastrack Invite

RESULTS
 
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The next time the Kutztown University women's track & field team hits the road for a meet it will be at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships in two weeks as KU wrapped up its regular season road slate Friday at the Fastrack National Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
 
Taniyah Lawler (Chester, Pa./Chester) had the newsworthy day for the Golden Bears, especially on the track. She raced to a 59.32 in the 400m, which ranks 10th all-time in program history. She was also a member of the 4x400 relay team, consisting of Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), Jaidah Mitchell (Pemberton, N.J./Pemberton Township), Devon Montanari (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and Lawler, that ran a blazing 3:55.70, second all-time in program history.

Brianna Foster (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park) recorded a top-five finish, crossing the finish line in fourth in the 60m invite final at 7.80.
 
Other PSAC-qualifying marks on the day include Bonner in the 400m, Montanari, Colleen Gilbert (Willow Street, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) in the 3000m and Ava Bendetti (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) in the 800m and Ally Tama (Towanda, Pa./Towanda) and Myah Davies (New Market, Md./Linganore) in the pole vault.
 
Anastasia Fratanduono (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Haleigh Davis (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley), Alexa Gulliver (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra), Sophia Knerr (Columbia, N.J./North Warren Regional) and Haylee Edwards (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) all posted personal-bests in their respective events.
 
Kutztown will be competing in its final regular season match next Friday, Feb. 18, at home. The Golden Bears will be hosting the annual KU Last Chance Qualifier at O'Pake Fieldhouse beginning at 4 p.m.
